The operating system of this device derived from the "Raspberry Pi OS" and contains open source software with various licenses, whose terms of use could further limit the product’s application area. It is essential that you observe the third-party manufacturer licence information.

The main licenses and copyrights information can be found in "/usr/share/doc" on the file system of the device. The complete licenses and copyrights information can be found in the source code archive "/opt/PILZ/industrialpi-sources-bookworm-arm64.tar.xz".

The source code archive at "/opt/PILZ/industrialpi-sources-bookworm-arm64.tar.xz" can be deleted if more space on the file system is needed. It is recommended to backup the archive e.g. to an external storage medium.

Pilz hereby agrees to defend and indemnify every other contributor to the EPL/CPL licensed components of our software product against any losses, damages and costs arising from claims, lawsuits and other legal actions brought by a third party against every other contributor to the extent caused by our acts or omissions in connection with the distribution of our software product in a commercial product offering. This indemnification obligation does not apply to any claims or losses relating to any actual or alleged intellectual property infringement. In order to qualify, an indemnified contributor must: a) promptly notify us in writing of such claim, and b) allow us to control and cooperate in the defense and any related settlement negotiations. The indemnified contributor may participate in any such claim at its own expense.
